About Me

Andy Bird Builds is a CNC training and coaching brand helping hobbyists master their machines, create projects they are proud of, and turn skills into profitable side hustles.

Through step-by-step CNC training, profitable project design, and a supportive community, we give beginners the skills and confidence to create and sell their work.

Introduction to Me

Hey, I’m Andy Bird. I didn’t get into CNC just for fun. I bought my first machine because my day job wasn’t going well and I needed a way to make extra money. I had zero CNC experience, just a stubborn streak and the drive to figure it out.

I know exactly how overwhelming CNC can feel because I’ve been there. My first project was a simple cutout of Michigan I gave to my mom. Not perfect, but I was proud of it. That feeling of making something from scratch hooked me.

Since 2017, I’ve helped over 125,000 CNC hobbyists go from frustration and fear of breaking something to confidently cranking out projects they can’t wait to show off. Along the way, I’ve built pieces for HGTV and Saturday Night Live, but honestly my favorite wins are when someone in my community sends me a picture of their first sale. That’s the good stuff.

What I Do Best

I teach CNC in a way that keeps it simple, fun, and profitable:

  • Cut the overwhelm - I break things down so you know exactly what to do next without guesswork or hours lost in forums.

  • Keep it fun - If you’re not enjoying the process, something is off. CNC should make you want to get back in the shop.

  • Make it pay for itself - I show you how to price your work, find customers, and turn your machine into a side hustle that actually makes sense.

I’m here to help you skip the dead ends, keep the good parts, and actually look forward to firing up your CNC.

My Journey

The Heart of It All

For me, CNC is more than a machine. It’s a way to create, to dream a little bigger, and to share something you’re proud of. And if we can make some money doing it, even better.

When you win, I win. That’s how I see it.
